Jammu:

Central leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party has summoned Jammu and Kashmir unit leaders of the party to New Delhi. The leaders who have been summoned include the Jammu and Kashmir BJP Chief Ravinder Raina, General Secretary Organisation Ashok Koul, National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party Narinder Singh and BJP Kashmir In-Charge Sunil Sharma.

Sources privy to the development told Universal News Timeline that the decision has been taken to summon these leaders to New Delhi as Bharatiya Janata Party is now aiming to elections that are likely to be held later this year.

“Party is brainstorming on bringing new party Chief in Jammu and Kashmir to strategize the politics in the coming days. The task for which Ravinder Raina was appointed was completed, the day Jammu and Kashmir was converted into Union Territory, since then there was no much political activity and Central leadership took time but now they feel that it is a high time to devise a strategy with a new leader,” Senior leader told UNT.

Sources in the top BJP leadership have also revealed that RSS is pushing for a leader who is not based in Jammu but is close to RSS circles while the other group backed by ABVP is batting for a senior BJP leader who held a crucial post during BJP-PDP coalition government in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir
