Ramban:Department of Horticulture, District, Ramban conducted one day awareness camp at Sangaldan under Backyard Horticulture scheme to sensitize the farmers.
The District Development Council, Chairperson, Dr. Shamshada Shan was the Chief Guest on the occasion. District Subject Matter Specialist, Pardeep Gupta, HDO Rohan Kumar and farmers of the areas attended the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC chairperson appreciated the efforts of the department of Horticulture in holding such awareness camps in district Ramban.
She exhorted upon the farmers to avail maximum benefit from the on-going schemes launched by the Government for upliftment of their socio-economic status of farmers.
She urged the farmers to take advantage from high density plantation scheme which is suitable for Ramban district besides incentives under creation of water sources, poly-greenhouse structures, new orchard establishment, mechanization, vermicompost units, pack house, tool implements, irrigation pumps, HDPE pipes etc.
She asked the CHO to conduct more awareness camps at panchyat level in the district especially for the economic upliftment of the farming community besides census of fruit plants in block Gool. She also distributed fruit plants among farmers
Chief Horticulture Officer, Ramban, Vaishno Kant Gupta while speaking reiterated that farmers’ welfare is the core agenda of the Department to ensure that all workable reforms and departmental schemes reach to each and every relegated section hassle free.
He also sought suggestions from the farmers for providing hassle free services to the farming community and to address complaints and grievances in an effective manner.
