Jammu:
The legacy of National Conference of deceiving and exploiting sentiments of common people in Jammu and Kashmir continues even when the party is in opposition.

In its recent smear campaign against recruitments in Khadi and Village Industries Board, the National Conference functionaries forgot that the rules of recruitment were drafted by them only.

According to senior defiant leader of the party, who wished not to be named, the NC functionaries are running ‘disinformation’ campaign for their political interests.

“They have nothing to do with who has been selected and who has not been, their only concern is to politicize everything,” said leader, adding that at present in the garb of ‘messiah’ of common people, NC leaders continue to exploit and deceive them.

Leader asserted that the party functionaries have raised hue and cry over the recent appointments in Khadi Board, but in actual they are only spreading ‘false propaganda’ for their vote bank, without bothering about the meritorious candidates, who belong to average families.

“During their recent press conference, NC leaders objected 1:15 criteria, which they claimed is done to convert merit into demerit. They also objected more numbers for interview, besides passed statement that a candidate from Leh is daughter of an IAS officer, who works as JKPSC member,” said defiant leader, adding that the fallacy of the matter is that members of NC are propagating lies without even doing bit of research on it.

He further asserted that the criteria of 1:15 and more numbers in interview was decided by previous NC-Congress government vide Govt order No.49-IND of 2012 dated 05-03-2012.

“The criteria was formulated by a committee of officers constituted by then government for the selection of candidates for the various posts of KVIB. The committee, besides other things, had recommended that for every post advertised, candidates should be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:15 and 40 marks should be reserved for Viva voice,” maintained leader.

He added that another false propaganda carried by National Conference to satisfy its political greed was linking name of Leh candidate with an IAS officer.

“The candidate from Leh belongs to the poor family and her father works as Lineman with Power Department,” said defiant leader of the party, adding that they also alleged that Aroot Madni secured 27 marks in Viva voice, which is also untrue, as official documents reveal that he got only 24.75 marks and were not highest and many candidates secured more marks than Aroot Madni.

Defiant leader said that the spokesperson of National Conference without doing any research claimed in the vacuum that there were over 24000 applications last time, but as per records there were only 7808 application, besides targeting meritorious candidates to achieve his end of instigating youth against system.

He further said that the National Conference is deliberately planting lies to ‘poison and pollute’ minds of the youth for narrow political gains.

“Without giving thought that such acts erodes and debilitates the confidence of the youth on institutions and government system and can have long raging and critical effects on the future of the state, NC leadership is spreading lies and disinformation to resurrect its opportunistic and deceiving politics,” said party leader.
