Additional District Development Commissioner Ramban, Rajinder Sharma today flagged off a troop of girl students from District headquarter to Patnitop for a trekking expedition.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Ashok Katoch, District Youth Services & Sports Officers, Dharamveer Singh, besides other senior officers and teachers were present on the occasion.

The five day Trekking expedition camp is being organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports Ramban. As many as 50 girl students drawn from six education zones of the district Ramban are participating in the expedition. 

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that such events provide students an opportunity to understand their ability, patience and weakness and to improve their skills which would help them in their future.

While interacting with the participants, the ADDC impressed upon them to avail this opportunity to shape their personality as good sports persons as well as responsible citizens.  

He directed the DYSSO to provide adequate facilities to the participants during the trekking, besides imparting trekking skills.
