Jammu:
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Cobra Commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas who was kidnapped by Maoists after Bijapur incident has been released, Press Trust of India reported.
Earlier, the family members of the commando had appealed to the Government of India to undertake all necessary steps to ensure their son’s safe return.
R S Manhas, a CRPF personnel, who hails from Jammu and was presently posted in Cobra Commando wing of CRPF in Bijapur, went missing during an Anti-Maoists Operation in the region.

Maoists carried out one of deadliest ambushes of the year on 4 April in which 22 forces personnel were killed and 31 were injured in Sukma district of Chattisgarh.
