In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered Psychotropic substances from their possession. 

     

A police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO PS Tarzoo Insp. Khalid Aslam under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS, at a checkpoint at railway crossing Byepass road Amargrah, apprehended three persons carrying handbags moving towards Tulibal. 

During their search, Police party was able to recover 696 capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus and 24 bottles of Codeine Phosphate COREX from their possession. 

On preliminary verification they disclosed their identity as

1. Ashiq Hussain Lone S/O Ghulam Hassan Lone R/O Hadipora Rafiabad. 

2. Mohammad Imran S/O Mehfooz Ali Choudhary R/O Mohan Garden Uttam Nagar West Delhi. 

3. Imran Ali S/O Siraj ud Din Idras R/O Doshpur Kunwan Kheda Wazir Alam Ajmatpur Uttar Pradesh A/P Mojan Garden New Delhi. 

In this regard, case FIR No. 32/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo & investigation has been initiated.

Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
