Srinagar:Thousands of people participated in the last rites of slain Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist Tahir Ahmad Dar in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district late last evening.
Dar was killed along with an associate in a three-day encounter with the security forces in Warpora area of Sopore on Saturday.
Reports said thousands of people assembled in the native Warpora village of the slain to offer his funeral prayers.
Eye-witnesses said that a large number of mourners, including women, carried the body of Dar to the martyrs' graveyard where he was laid to rest.
Reports said his associate, believed to be a non-local, was laid to rest at Sheeri Baramulla.
