She has emerged as a credible voice of the country, representing India at all the global platforms and making the world understand India’s point of view, be it her roaring speech at the United Nations wherein she termed Pakistan as a terroristan or whether she has to show her motherly nature by issuing medical visa to serious patients from Pakistan- external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj is an icon for all.

If Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been at the forefront in changing and improving the image of the country- Sushma Swaraj as the external affairs minister in the current dispensation has been a very strong voice of the country.

She has been working silently without much of fanfare working day in and out to make india stand tall on the world stage. How many of us knows iron lady from Ambala constituency who had her stint as a supreme court lawyer is the second female to hold the forte of external affairs only after Indira Gandhi . She is much known for her human heart than political mind.

She is tough, like Iron when its dealing with Pakistan as the neighbouring country keeps on sponsoring terrorism in the country, it was her who told Pakistan in no uncertain words that terrorism wont be tolerated, but she also shows her humane face when issuing medical visa to the patients from Pakistan.

She has been most active on social networking site like twitter wherein she issues orders on twitter to her officials. She is the only hope for Indian who are stranded in various countries.

Those Indians stranded in various countries see her as a ray of hope when she comes forward to redress their issues by issuing instructions to Indian embassies on twitter and other social media platforms.

For enemies she is a soldier and for those in need she is a mother, a no nonsense soldier who knows how to defend the nation and a mother who knows how to give care to her children.

She is most respected lady like Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who is known for his hard work and his efforts to have peace with Pak by traveling to Lahore and signing Lahore declaration. But Pak proved to be a country which is having to effect of talks and declarations. Only lady from Advani camp to get important appointment based on her extreme capability.

Most of the credit to bring all Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) leaders as state guest goes to her kitty as she acted vigersously on "Act East Policy" A policy started by Former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral that time known as architect of "Look East Policy". In her recent visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, she has stressed on the need for this policy. Also she emphasised that we should replace India’s over two decade old ‘Look East Policy’ emphasizing a more proactive role for India in the region. 

Her trips to foreign countries gives a glimpse of her strong intent. To name a few, Bangladesh(June26 - 27, 2014), Bhutan( June 16-17, 2014), Nepal( July 27-29, 2014), Myanmar (August 8-11, 2014), Singapore(August 16-18, 2014), Vietnam (August24-25, 2014) and Maldives (Nov 3, 2014) clears her intent. Even her dedication is so absolute, that she threatened BJP’s senior leadership to resign if she is not allowed to work as she has planned.

Much of Criticism is perplexing ambiguity and deniability. This iron lady kept her wets inching towards the goal of shining India and bringing foreign investment in India. Even Oman offered diplomatic and military ties and access of its strategic port to India. On the hind side, even the Chinese FDI saw a significant jump from Rs 767 crores in 2013-14 to Rs 3,066 crores a year later. In fact those two years alone have accounted for over 70% of chinese Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) even to India.

I don't want to mention about India's engagement with Pakistan over Pathankot, Uri and Sunjuwan terror attacks. Much has been spoken and written about it. None of the last few Indian governments have been under any illusion about Pakistan. Needless to mention her contribution that forced Pakistan to bend and allow family of Kulbushan Jadhav to meet him in Pak prison.

All I can say that her contribution remain immense, selfless service towards nation and all Indians will remain greatful to her contribution towards how India is seen by the world in 2018.

Sushma Swaraj has become an icon for the female folks of the country who look towards her as an ideal and an inspiration and as an Indian women who were once seen as most pressed lot, today she stands tall to show the world that the status and stature of Indian woman has changed, while she can manage has kitchen she can easily manage the country and its relation with the world as well
