Refresher Course in Behavioural Science commences at HRDC Jammu University

Jammu:Three weeks Refresher Course in Behavioural Sciences (Inter Disciplinary) commenced at Department Of Psychology, University of Jammu today. The UGC sponsored course is being organized by the Human Resource Development Centre in collaboration with the Department Of Psychology. The Course was formerly inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.D.Sharma in presence of Prof. Arti Bakshi, Course coordinator and HOD of Psychology and Prof. J P Singh Joorel, Director HRDC, University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor called upon the teachers to focus on research in their areas of expertise. He also advised the teachers to be role model and to lead by example. The Vice Chancellor also quoted many of his personal teaching-learning experiences with regard to the academic pursuits and administration. He complemented the HRDC and its Director for being a vibrant centre of teaching learning and training.
Earlier Director of HRDC, Prof. J P Singh Joorel while welcoming the participating teachers highlighted the need and importance of the research. He thanked the Vice Chancellor for his whole-hearted support and leader ship in making the various HRDC courses a success.
Prof. Arti Bakshi Course Coordinator in her address dwelt in detailed about the various areas of studies that would be covered during the course. She also outlined the various facets of Behavioural Science specially Psychology.
Sh. Ranjeet Kalra Assistant Director, HRDC Presented the formal vote of thanks on the occasion. It is worthy that around- 50 teachers belonging to various Universities and Colleges of county are participating in the three weeks Refresher Course.
