Srinagar:Pro-Pakistan and pro-Zakir Musa slogans were raised at an Army-sponsored cricket match in central Kashmir’s Budgam district today, eyewitnesses said. The commotion broke after the final match of Kashmir Cricket Premier League which was held at a stadium in Budgam. The match played between Budgam and Ompora was won by the latter. Local lawmaker and National Conference leader Aga Ruhullah was the chief guest at the event. Eyewitnesses said players raised pro-Pakistan and pro-Zakir Musa slogans in the presence of top security officers. A green flag was also waved on the ground. The situation was, however, brought under control immediately, eyewitnesses said. Ruhullah said the slogans were raised by the players but the function went on smoothly. “The event was organised by the Army. Despite commotion, I distributed awards to the teams and players,” Ruhullah said.
