The Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu organized Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (Women) Championship 2018-19 at Jammu University Campus in which fourteen Athletes from seven colleges took part.

Darshana Devi of GWC Parade clinched Gold Medal by completing the race in 31.20.51 mins. whereas   Kashu Devi of PG Deptt. University of Jammu and Toshi Devi of GDC Kathua  stood 2nd and  3rdpositions by completing  the race in 35.42.74 mins and  36.45.90  mins respectively.

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam Registrar, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion and flagged off the race and also awarded medals to the winners. While addressing, she congratulated all the participants and especially the medallists.

Others present on the occasion were Ms. Suman Sharma GWC Parade, Sh. Pardeep Singh (GWC Kathua)Dr.Vinod Bakshi(GWC Gandhi Nagar),Sh. Balbir Singh (GDC Samba),Sh. Munish Charak (GDC, Kathua), Sh. Amit Sharma (GCW, Gandhi Nagar), Shajad Ali GDC Bishnah, Sh. Gagan Kumar, Sh. Ravish Vaid, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Sdr. P.D. Singh and Sh.Jai Bharat.

Dr.Komal Nagar Assistant Director, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu conducted the proceedings of the function and  also presented vote of thanks.
