Rajouri:
The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports said that firing started at 1:20 PM in Lam Pukharni forward area of Nowshera.

They said the armies of both the countries were using small and heavy arms to target each other.

There was no immediate report of any loss of life or injury. Earlier, the two countries exchanged heavy fire along the LoC in neighbouring Poonch district.

India and Pakistan armies on Thursday again traded firing and shelling on each other along the Line of Control in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said there was an exchange of fire and shelling between the two armies at around 8:30 in the morning today.

They said firing between the two sides stopped at 11 in the morning, after there was exchange of heavy artillery between the two sides for two and a half hours.

An army spokesman blamed Pakistan army for resorting to “unprovoked and indiscriminate firing”.
