Forces launch search operation in Tral villages after recovery of Jaish militant’s body

Srinagar:Massive search operation is underway since today morning in several villages of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district to look for rest of the militants believed to be injured in an accidental IED explosion that left a militant dead. A Jaish-e-Mohammad militant, identified as Umar Bhai died when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off accidentally in a hideout at Handura forest area of Tral today morning. His body was found along with a note by locals in Tral Eidgah following which they alerted the police. Search operation was launched immediately after the incident in Wagad, Pastuna, Seer and Handura villages, SSP Awantipora Mohammed Zahid Malik told Greater Kashmir. The operation was on when this report was being filed.
