A devastating fire broke out at the Restaurant Biryani Hut in Beehama, Ganderbal, on the mid night of May 9, reducing the eatery to ashes and causing substantial damage to other shops in the Taj Complex. The incident, which occurred around 12:30 am, resulted in property and material worth crores being destroyed.

The Fire and Emergency Services in Ganderbal, along with the police, Army, and locals, responded promptly to the scene. Despite their efforts, the fire continued to escalate, finally being brought under control after two hours

The blaze not only Ravaged the Biryani Hut but also spread to nearby Shops and damaging several shops in the Taj Complex. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
