Cluster University Jammu to develop Knowledge Society

The Cluster University of Jammu is poised to develop a Knowledge Society. This was stated by Prof Anju Bhasin Vice Chancellor of the University in a high-level meeting convened to finalize the Logo of the Cluster Universities. The Vice Chancellor said that the University is mandated to become a cluster of vibrant institutions to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities. 
The logo for the Cluster Universities is being designed by the internationally renowned National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmadabad, which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce, GOI. A high-level team of NID headed by Prof Tarundeep Girdher presented the logo design before the Vice Chancellors of Cluster University of Jammu and Srinagar Prof Anju Bhasin and Prof Javed Sheikh and the Deans and senior officers of the Cluster University. 
The members were informed that NID has designed logos for nationally reputed organizations like “Right to Information”. The NID Team presented different logo designs for both the Universities which were deeply appreciated by the members. Prof Anju Bhasin revealed that the University is commencing skill-development certificate courses which shall be introduced as evening course in its five constituent colleges i.e. Women College Gandhi Nagar, MAM College, GGM Science College, SPMR Commerce College and College of Education. This arrangement shall optimally utilize the existing infrastructure of the constituent colleges and shall provide the much needed employability skills to students and general masses. The Vice Chancellor said that the University is getting full support from the State Government and extended her gratitude to the Education Minister and the Chief Minister for giving boost to higher Education in the State. The meeting was attended by Prof L K Mangotra, Mr Suman Gupta, Renowned Artist (Painter) Mr. Rajinder Tickoo, Renowned Artist (Sculptor), Mr. Masood Hussain, Renowned Artist, Prof Z A Hashmi, Controller of Examinations , Prof Poonam Dhawan, Dean Academic Affairs , Dr Gitanjali Rana, Dean, School of Arts, Dr N K Gupta, Dean, School of Social Sciences , Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare, Sh Suneet Gupta Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor , Sh Pawan Sharma FA/CAO.
